Since July 1, 2021, all packages to Europe and the UK are subject to VAT (Value Added Tax).
These taxes are applied to all packages to Europe and the UK regardless of the carrier used, i.e. DHL, Fedex, Royal Mail and many others.
When placing an order, the buyer has the choice of paying the customs fees directly at a flat rate or paying them to the customs of their country upon delivery of their package at a rate that could be higher.
There are two options:
The customer decides to pay the VAT when placing an order
In this case, the customer will have to pay the amount of the articles + the amount of the VAT (that we will have calculated automatically) + 7€ of customs clearance fees.
Thus, the customer will not have anything to pay, nor to manage during the customs clearance.
We strongly recommend our customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom to choose this option to avoid paying a lot more during the delivery. It's simple, just check the box "Pay custom fees upfront" as shown in the image below. Then you will see the amount you have saved.
The customer refuses to pay the VAT while placing an order.
In this case, the customer will then have to pay the VAT charges at the time of delivery of the order as well as the customs clearance charges.
The customer will pay the VAT + 17€ customs clearance fee upon delivery. Please note that the VAT may increase if the customs decides to reweigh your package.
